Flashing Icon On Screen

What does the red flashing icon on lower left mean? It looks like an open door with a line through it. or an equal sign with a line through it. Does this mean the tape area is not closed properly? The camera seem to work fine, and records fine. But it keeps flashing. Thoughts? Thanks.
