Canon Pixma Mp470 Printer Troubleshooting - Paper Won't Feed Through

I placed a sheet of 13 x 19 photo paper in rear tray as usual. It seemed to be seated properly in rear tray I didn't try to force it or anything like that and the printer went through it's usual prep sounds but when it made the sound to feed the paper in it wasn't catching the paper so the sign came up saying out of paper and the lower button flashes red twice pauses an flashes twice.

I checked to see if there was a blockage but there doesn't seem to be one. What do I do.
