My Brother Mcf-490cw Won't Scan To Laptop With Usb Or Wireless.

My Brother MFC-490CW won't scan to laptop with either USB or Wireless. LCD says "connecting to PC' but nothing happens. All other functions working. Will scan to desktop. Both computers run Windows 7. I have un-installed and re-installed the MFC and updated drivers. When I right-click on device in laptop no scan options are shown but are shown when I do same in desktop PC.

If you have updated the driver software properly, please try to check the USB data cable. The cable might be the problem because your computer cannot detect your printer. Make sure that the USB cable is properly connected to the computer and printer.
