If the bobbin thread is not coming up when using the Bernina Aurora 440QE to imitate hand quilting with regular thread in the bobbin and monofilament on top, here are some possible solutions to try:
  1. Check the presser foot: Make sure that the presser foot is properly attached and that it is not putting too much pressure on the fabric. If the presser foot is too tight, it can prevent the bobbin thread from being pulled up properly. Try adjusting the presser foot pressure or using a different foot that is better suited for quilting.
  2. Check the needle: Make sure that the needle is the correct size and type for the thread being used. A needle that is too small or too dull can also prevent the bobbin thread from being pulled up properly. Try using a new needle that is the correct size for the thread being used.
  3. Check the bobbin thread weight: Make sure that the bobbin thread is the correct weight for the regular thread being used on top. If the bobbin thread is too heavy or too light, it can affect the tension and prevent the thread from being pulled up properly.
  4. Check the bobbin case: Make sure that the bobbin case is properly inserted and that there is no lint or debris inside that could be affecting the tension. If necessary, clean the bobbin case and reinsert it properly.
  5. Adjust the tension: While it may seem counterintuitive, sometimes tightening the tension can actually help the bobbin thread to be pulled up properly. Try increasing the tension slightly and see if that helps.

If none of these solutions work, it may be necessary to take the machine to a technician to be serviced.
