3 Connect the USB cable from another manufacturer may require software drivers. Your Mac mini does not come with a keyboard and mouse, but you can use any USB keyboard or mouse with your keyboard and mouse. If your keyboard has a USB port, you can plug your mouse into a USB port on the keyboard. If it doesn't, you can plug the mouse into the USB port on the back of the computer.
