Cd Tray Will Not Open

I have a Yahama CDC-735 5 disc cd player. When pressing the "Open" button to bring out the cd tray to change cd's, I can hear what I think is a motor running, however the tray won't come out. Can anyone help as to how to fix?? Is it a simple belt change?? Thank you for you help!!

The rubber band is broken, repllace it and the device will be fine, you need to open the device and go the the tray motor.
