Toshiba Laptop - Satellite L355d-s7815 - Overheated And Won't Light Up.

After the laptop powered down it will not light up when the power switch is pushed and held. Is there a fuse or something that can be reset to power up or has something burnt up preventing it from starting?

I've tried Glendon's method myself and it works for my P500. If you wish to attempt this method, please take note of Glendon's creative use of junk mail t try the vacuum cleaning method at your own risk.

 2. If cleaning the clogged ventilation slots does not work, then there is a possibility the CPU cooling fan has failed or;

3. An internal laptop switch mode power supply component may have shorted out or;

4. The laptop's power supply may have a problem.

For 2, 3, or 4 I'd recommend taking the laptop to a specialist for a repair quotation.
