Flat screen issues are always fun... NOT. They seem to use low grade parts in the power supplies and they go out a lot, especially if you leave it on a lot. We tend to fall asleep with ours on. If I forget to set the sleep timer it runs all night. I'm just biding my time until it dies.
Does it do anything at all when you try to power it on? Clicks, pops, buzzing, smoke, anything at all? No power indicators? Is the outlet good? Try another just for kicks. The cord could be shot, or the recepticle bad. Wiggle the cord, does that help? try pushing it in more to seat it better. Not too hard though, you don't want to break it if it's still OK. Do you see any changes in the screen like the back light coming on? Try in a dark room.
If none of these things help I suspect the TV main circuit board and/or power supply is defective. You'll need to have a service man look at it since there are no user serviceable parts inside and if you poke around with the case off you're likely to get zapped.
Is it by chance still in warrenty? If so now's the time to take it back.
