Sony Rdr Vx555 Dvd Player 'sticks'

My DVD player "sticks" after a few minutes of playing a DVD.It will play for about 10 minutes then slow down the video and then finally the video will stop. It is connected to my Sony TV.I've tried cleaning the head with a disk cleaner, vacuumed it for dust, but nothing else seems to work.Your help would be very much appreciated.John

Try cleaning the laser beam to see if this solves the problem, another possible cause could be weak electric motor connection, you need to check this too.
