Sony Dav-dz120 Use A Different Dvd Player But Theatre Sound?

i hooked up this sony home theatre system, sound is great, picture not so good compared to whats available now a days. while the component hookups only display maximum 480p my other dvd player will show a 1080p display. My question is how/can i run a dvd through a different dvd player that uses hdmi hookups to tv but emit sound from the dav-dz120. I couldnt seem to figure this out and would like help if it is available
