Installation Of Sony Gt-09 Mp3/wma 2009 Model Into A 1995 Chevy G-20 Van

I have installed this CD player into my van and am have difficulties w/the wiring. The 1st time that I installed the CD player I didn't hook up the memory wire properly, so anything programmed was lost when you shut the van off. Then my wife found a wiring diagram for me while I was at work. The wiring diagram was for hooking up a newer style player to a 1990 or later van. The first problem I had was that there was a grey & brown wire, from the van, that were not hooked up according to the diagram. I also had a blue w/white strip wire, from the stereo, that wasn't hooked up to anything per the diagram. When  I turned the system on the only speakers that appeared to be working were the passenger front speaker and the side passenger door speaker. I am really confused and not sure where I have gone wrong. Is there a way that you can send me the specific wiring diagram to hpitiful aria particular CD player to my 1997 Chevy G-20 van?
