Sony Video Camera Recorder 8 (ccd-fx310) Troubleshooting
I have a Sony Video Camera Recorder 8 (CCD-FX310) which has not been used for years....... I am supplying power with my Sony AC Power Adaptor (AC-V350) which is operating fine as indicated by the GREEN Power light which is steady. When I insert a cassette, the side door closes and pulls in the cassette however, after that I hear faint noises inside the camcorder (as if it's going through a routine to close). It does not pull down the cassette into the camcorder. After ~3 sec., it opens the side door and the tape can be removed. I suspect a electronic problem (having been sitting so long without use) however, there may be a mechanical problem also, etc. Any suggestions? Do you have a disassembly manual/instructions which would provide information as to how to disassemble and access the printed circuit board, etc.?Thank you,Bob
