It Starts And Freezes 8second Into The Disc

After selecting play, it goes black as if is going to start and it freezes exactly 8 seconds. The it stay frozen untill I have to phisically pull the plug, literally pull the plug. Iti is not the disc because I went and got another disk and it does the same. Help! Respectfully Wesley B.
