How Do I Eliminate Dark Patch To The Left Of My High-def Sanyo Screen

I have a Sanyo 42-inch model DP46848 high-def TV I bought from Walmart about 18 months ago. When I turn it on, a dark patch sometimes appears at the left of the screen taking up about a third of the picture. After the TV has warmed up it goes away -- for now. But it's getting worse. Does anyone know what's causing this?

You have a defective display panel. Because of the high cost of the panel, I would search for a recall notice, if there one. I have the same model with the same problem. Sony has had many models with similar issues, that were covered by a hidden warranty til 2012. In that case the panels were made by another Manufacture. Mine has shading on the left and some lines in picture from left to right. Keep searching. John

Ran out space. You have a 46" and the model is DP4684B and there will be a -00 or 2 other numbers at the end of the model indicating the version.
