My Time Warner Cable Remote Won't Work When My Tv Is On.

I've had many different technicians, boxes and remotes tested only to come to the conclusion that its my television. My time warner cable remote will not work with my tv. I can turn the tv on with it and I can push a couple buttons and then the remote won't respond after that. The cable technician said my tv is somehow blocking the signal. How can I fix this?
