Samsung Dlp 1080p Hlt5676sx/xaa

WHY DOES MY SAMSUNG DLP 1080P HLT5676SX/XAA HAVE WHITE DOTS. IS THIS TV WORTH FIXING I HERE THAT THESE TV'S HAVE THESE PROBLEMS IS IT UNDER A RECALL I HERE THE CHIP IS BAD

There is a rash of these TI DLP chips failing through out the industry and with all manufacturers. I have not heard of any recalls, but I suggest contacting Samsung and see if there is any recourse setup: http://www.samsung.com/us/support/

Expect a repair bill in the $350-$400 range

I bought the DLP chip from retechtv.com Part#4719-1985 for $244.95, and went to youtube and did a search on replacing the dlp chip and was able to replace it. And to my satisfaction the thousands of white dots are gone.
