Samsung Dlp Hl-t5676s, Screen Image Freezes
Hi, I have a 4 year old Samsung HL-T5676 and recently when I turn on the tv the screen image freezes. When I switch the tv off for a few minutes & turn it back on the tv works fine. This is happening more & more often.
Can anyone advise what the problem might be and if it is worth repairing?
I already went throgh the white dot issue which was a costly repair for me & am just about fed up with this darn TV.

what you need to check is the input signal. In the old days when a signal was low, the picture went snowy (analog). now days the picture will freeze (digital). So if you press the [menu] button when the picture freezes and you see it come up, then suspect the signal (sometimes it's a signal problem from the satellite to the cable company).
If the menu doesn't show up then the problem is i the TV. It could be the "digital" board in the signal cluster, the "DMD" board (what the DLP chip that you had problems with before in the optical engine), or the LVDS cable that connects the two together. A shop will likely be needed to pinpoint the culprit.
