Problem With The Samsung Hlp6163w 61 In. Rear Projection Tv Picture Went Black
Problem with the Samsung HLP6163W 61 in. Rear Projection TVPicture went black but the sound was still good. I turned it off and waited a minute then turned it back on. I heard the click sound and it sounded like the color wheel was turning. The lamp was on bright in the rear. Fan was blowing but still no picture yet I could hear the sound fine.Can you guide me on what is wrong and how to fix it please?

Since the lamp is lit and there is no picture, chances are very high that the DMD board is bad. A shop repair is recommended and expect a bill of around $500.
The DMD board is part of the optical engine and it runs the DLP chip. I worked on one a month ago and it had a very similar problem, except the lamp didn't always light up.
