Samsung Hl-6188w Acting Really Weird. The Menu Button Shuts It Off Etc..

the remote doesn't work and the buttons on the TV do the wrong things.half don't function adn the other half shuts the tv off.

it is likely a stuck or bad switch on the TV keyboard (http://www.encompassparts.com/item/7104454/Samsung/BP94-02271J/Assy_Pcb_Misc-led_Control). this can stop the remote from working. If you unplug this board and the remote operation starts to work again, then it is the problem
