Samsung Hl-r5688w Vertical Lines

My Samsung HL-R5688W has vertical lines from top to bottom on the left side of the screen. What could cause this?

It's either the DLP chip, the DMD board or the connections between these two. This will require a technician to troubleshoot and repair.
