Hi, if scan to email has already been set up on your C5000, then you can follow the steps below to scan to an email:
- Press the Scanner button
- Select the Email tab if it's not already selected
- Select the address to scan to, or select Manual Entry to enter a new address
- Place the document to scan face-up in the document feeder or face-down on the glass
- Select any options you want to change, such as double-sided, scanning in color, resolution, etc.
- Specify a sender, if required, by selecting the Sender tab at the bottom of the screen
- Press the Start button
If scan to email has not been set up, you will need to set it up before being able to scan to email. Some of the information you will need (depending on your network and your email server) includes:
- SMTP server name or IP address
- SMTP server port
- SMTP server authentication info
- Administrator's email address (if using that as the default sender)
- Press the Scanner button
