What Causes The Screen To Be Purple When The Tv Is Turned On?

What Causes The Screen To Be Purple When The Tv Is Turned On When It Was Normal When It Was Shut Off. When This Happens We Shut The Tv Off, Unplug It And Plug It Back In And Turn The Tv Back On. This Is Happening Quite Often And Very Annoying!
