Trying To Secure Wireless, Will Not Let Me Set Password

You may be forced to do a factory reset of the wireless router. You'll need to find the owners manual for the process since it differs between units and you didn't leave the model number of yours.
In general for Linksys you can pull out the power cord, then press the reset button on back and plug the power in while the button is still pressed in.
That should reset everything to factory. Log into the web management interface by going to http://192.168.1.1. The default user should be "admin" and the password will be either nothing or "admin".
