Printing Preferences
My Lexmark x543 is signalling that the magenta cartridge has to be replaced. However, I only ever use the black. Can I override the message or reset the printer to only use black?
Pressing the menu key button has no effect on over-riding the flashing red light.

There's no way to override the warning. If you're printing mostly black and white documents, make sure to set your printing preferences to print using black ink only to conserve the color cartridges.

Obviously, your Lexmark X543 printer displays this message because the toner cartridge needs to be replaced to make your printing function normally. You can purchase a compatible ink/toner cartridge online for this model. These are the product links:
