Hp Pavilion Dv7 Repair Disc

I have a new HP Pavilion dv7-3065dx purchased 1/16/2010.  If I attempt to make a "system repair disc" (Control Panel --> All Control Panel Items --> Backup and Restore --> Create a system repair disk), I encounter an error.  After selecting the "Create a system repair disc" option, a window opens selecting the BD-ROM Drive (F:).  On clicking on the [Create Disc] button, a message box opens with a tital of "Ceate a system repair disc: and the message "System repair disk could not be created," followed by "The parameter is incorrect (0x80070057).  I have used Control Panel --> All Control Panel Items --> Administrative Tools --> Computer Management --> Storage|Disk Management to shrick the C: partition and create a new D: partition.
