I have a dell studio 1747. The microphone jack is not picking up any sound. Tried several headphones. Tried reinstalling drivers

I am from Dell Social Media and Community.
There are three audio ports on the left side of your system. The port next to the ExpressCard slot (Usually Closed with plastic) is the Microphone port.
Just to make sure, below is the link for the latest audio driver for your system.
