Attention: Dell Niranjanvijaykumar Dell Optiplex Gx280 Memory Problems

Results of the diagnostics drive=0 WDC WD800JD-75JNA0 PASS drive=1 No device drive=2 LG-CD-ROM CRN8245B Diagnostics not supported drive=3 No device In the System Setup - maintenance -event log I found this logs beginning 11-10-2010 till 06-26-2012 Post error Memory size different sometimes follewed by Memory size decreased Thanks for your help

Hello aviroff,

As per the even log there is a memory card variation. This could be either a bad memory card/memory slot on the motherboard.

Follow the link below to run the hardware followed by memory test -

The initial test will pass and then it will as you
Press Y To Continue the Memory Tests.
Press N for No when it asks you to Continue Memory Tests.

Press Y and this will run for about 30-40 minutes.
