Moving From An Older D-link To This New One (dir-605l).

Instructions are a little misleading. I have a cable coming into the Providers modem. I do NOT Have a cable going to the computer. The Ethernet cable on my older D-Link plugs into the port called Ethernet. Then when I plug in power to both modem and old router, everything works fine. When I try the same process on the new DIR-605L nothing comes up on my computer (iMAC). When I try to reset the new D-Link by pushing the paperclip in the back while powering up, the green power light comes on and continues to flash. HELP Thanks Roy
