Vehicle Not Coming Out Of Park.

The 2003 Chev tracker will not come out of park. I removed the console and pressed the yellow button next to the gear shift and the vehicle came out of park. Once I returned the vehicle to park it would not move until I pressed the yellow button again. How do I fix the problem?
