i can say for fact, if installing a new one, buy the better and more powerful alternator, they can with 3 different units, one as low as 60 amps... if you notice your light blinking, of flashing high and low (any lights) you replace alternator...

here it is

1               Disconnect batteries’ negative cable

2               Remove the air cleaner hose.

3              Remove the drive belt from the generator pulley.

4              Disconnect the power steering pressure switch connector.

5              Disconnect the generator electrical connector.

6              Remove the rubber protector, the nut and the electrical connector from the generator B+ terminal.

7              Remove the 2 vacuum lines from the top of the EVAP canister.

8              Slide the EVAP canister from the bracket on the inner fender and position aside.

9              Remove the upper and lower generator mounting bolts.

10           Remove the generator from the vehicle

11           Install new alternator

12           Follow the instructions  in reverse

13           start car, and check system is charging (radio, A/C on high, rear defrost, wipers, and any

Lights you can turn on)… at 1000 RPM (no more) everything should be working properly

Hope this helps you out
