How To Connect Separate Phone With Mf4450 Printer/fax Machine?

My phone has a different phone number then my fax number and the phone has one ring to identify it as separate from the fax number which has two short rings; both fax and phone are on the same line. The Canon MF 4450 fax answers both phone and fax numbers. HOW DO I SET IT UP SO IT WILL NOT ANSWER THE PHONE LINE NUMBER????
