Can I Determine The Vintage Of A Canon Printer From The Serial Number?

I have come across a used Canon MP470.Is there a way that I can determine how old the product is, based on the Serial Number?

Hello, if you contact Canon and provide them with the serial number, they may be able to tell you. However, it is doubtful you would be able to find that serial number anywhere else online to match it up to a specific date or even year.
