Why is my MFC-8710DW pausing so often to "cool down"?

Obviously, your Brother MFC-8710DW is experiencing and overheating. This standby mode is a self protection feature to prevent overheating. Relocate the device in a cooler and well ventilated working area to prevent overheating.
