You can move music from the itunes library to your ipod nano very easily. Itunes automatically start when the ipod is connected and then you can drag MP3 files directly from your hard drive or any other drive onto your iPod in iTunes without placing them first into your music library. During the process of transfer do not disconnect your ipod from computer.
