Installing the SIM card and battery 1 To remove the back cover, place your thumb at the top part of the back cover and slide it downwards. 2 Slide the SIM card into the SIM card slot (as shown below). Make sure that the gold contact area on the card is facing downwards. 5 Getting Started Before you start using the phone, you may need to insert the SIM card.
