Accessing Cmos And Bios

my nephew aquired a used emachines T4155 pc for me from a thrift store. I fired it up and it went straight to the CMOS display. Browsing through it I noticed it stated that the hard drive had been changed and listed 0 hard drives.the only drive it listed was the CD ROM though it has a 3.25 floppy and a CD-RW as well.I somehow unwittingly locked myself out when exiting because now it just starts up to boot search and can't because there's no OS available. How do I get back in and how. An I get it to recognize the. Hardware on board?I tried to edit it when I was in there, but it offered no driver's to select from for the HD.

Hi,

Wow, this PC is old Pentium 4 PC. Anyway, to get it to work, first you would need to plug in a hard drive since from your explanation, the existing HD have been removed.

To boot into BIOS, please try in either the following buttons.

Press the Tab key during boot-up. If nothing happens, restart the computer again. Try pressing the Del key during the reboot. Some eMachines also use the F2 key to enter the BIOS. Therefore, try each key if you fail to access the BIOS settings screen on the first or second attempt.
