Mouse Pad Problem

My emachines e720 mouse bad does not respond when i use it. I tried updating the driver through device manager but to no avail. I also install alps etc ,mouse pad drivers but it didnt work. Please advice. My windows platform is win7 pro. Thanking you in advance.

i manage to fix it thanks. It was disabled by the alternative key at F7 buttun. I pressed & held down Fn buttun and pressed F7. The rest is history.
