Yahoo Is Sending Me Verification Code On My Phone Again And Again. How To Stop

while making a new yahoo id i entered my phone number which i deleted before vefifying it. now i am getting messages from yahoo again and again about verification code. it is not even possible to reply stop it the original message. how do i stop getting the messages?
