Reasons Why It Does Not Turn On When I Want It To Work/when I'm Cooking?

Hello,My canopy range hood was installed last week, however, sometimes it turns on and works and other times (when I needed it, during this past holiday weekend) it did NOT work when I was cooking. Any advise would be very helpful!I did not see a troubleshooting page/section in the manual that came with this item.Thank you,Freya
