My Back (r) Burner Is Not Working - C

My back (R) burner is not working - best buy said that they could not fix it because they cannot get the parts - when I turn on the knob it lights up and the element does not operate - the stove was purchased in 2007 along with a micro wave to match - I use the micro wave for most of my cooking - the stove looks like I just bought it - everything else works fine - please tell me how I can get this fixed - Thank You Barbara Larson
