Whirlpool Gls3064rs Easy Or Difficult To Clean?

Different reviews one easy to clean, another said there is a gap where the surfaces meet and that if a pot boils over liquid can seep through the grates. I want a good cook top, my husband would like electric, but I would like gas. Will have grandchildren around which is safer in your opinion. I was told that this model was made by WOLF so a really good model. I am also looking at the model #G7CG3064X which is newer, but not a lot of reviews - 1 review said they were very unhappy because it scratched easy. I don't want my stove to scratch so are either of these 2 models not for me? I want a good model that I can move pans around. The first model doesn't have the lower simmer, but if it is a better, more reliable appliance I can deal with that. Thank you for helping me decide. Is there another model I should look at. This will be going in an 8 foot island and it is normally just my husband and myself except on holidays and special occasions. Thank you very much for your help! It is so confusing picking out all new appliances. I also have the Gold 30in Stainless Mic/oven GSC309PVS picked out. Linda
