Problem With My Vpc 100 Computer

I have just changed the RAM on my VPC 100 computer. I upped it to 200 memory with a new chip. But when I switched it on all I could get was a black screen. The cooling fan comes on but there is no power IE. The power switch is working but there is no light. I also replaced the old 100 RAM chip but had the same resalt.
