The Base Speaker Does Not Come On When Someone Is Leaving A Message

when receiving a call, the greeting and message caller is leaving does not come on, therefore, the message goes to voicemail vs. answering machine

Either voice mail or the answering machine can be used on the phone, but not both. If both are set to on, the two will conflict with each other and the one that is set with a shorter ring time will pick up first. Whichever you choose to use, you will want to turn the other off.

Adjust the speaker volume on the base unit.
