2. While holding down 2, 9, and Hold, turn on the
scanner. It takes about 3 seconds to initialize
and CLEAR appears.

For Uniden Solara VHF Marine Radio, to do a Hard Reset so you can put in a new MMSI...
Hold down DSC and Up while turning on. "DSC" will flash on an otherwise blank screen. With the unit on, hold down select and Hi/Lo for about a minute (unit will chirp). Turn off, then on again - unit is reset!
