How Do I Repair The Chute Directional Control?

The trigger button on the directional control no longer locks in the chute direction. How do I repair this?

The joystick control rod & pinion gear may be out of alignment or the chute control cable is stretched.

I suggest you check pages 8-9 for more detail.
