When Plugged In The Power Lights Will Flashes Red And Then Green, But No Picture

WHAT COULD BE CAUSING US TO GET ONLY THE POWER LIGHTS TO COME ON, BUT NO PICTURE OR SOUND?  YOU CAN HEAR THE FAN MOTOR WORKING.  REMOTE WON'T WORK ON IT TO TURN IT OFF AND ON OR ANY OTHER FEATURE.
