Installed New Lamp, Having Same Problem, When I Turn On Tv Red Light Comes On,

very shortly the green light starts blinging about 10 times the TV shuts off. Almost immediately the red light comes back on and the same thing happens, again and again and again

if the lamp is good, the lamp door is closed and the interlock switch is closed (the door has a pin to close this switch), the color wheel is spinning correctly (doesn't sound like a bad fan), then the likely fault is the ballast. Sometimes when the lamp explodes the ballast is damaged too.
