Unable To Load Dvd Disc

After working well for about 6 months, suddenly it won't load the dvd's and give a message "no valid disc".

It sounds like the DVD mechanism is defective.  There are a couple of things you can do to test it.  Shoot me an email and I'll give you some tips.  A replacement mechanism is about $60 plus shipping plus labor to disassemble and put it in.  If you have decided not to repair it I would be interested in communicating with you about buying it for the other parts in it.  My grandson broke his and I am in need of a new cover.
