Toshiba Portable Dvd-player Sd-p71s:loads But Always Message:bad Disc?

Hello, I bought this DVD-player on a second-hand market. The seller told me that the player is OK, but that he didn't use it for 2 years. When I put a DVD in the player, it starts loading and then after every time the message "bad disc" ... .I tried more than 5 different discs and always the same message ... .Can somebody help me please ?Thank very much, Rudy.

The only issue that might cause this other than a hardware failure is a dirty lens. Try cleaning it with a cd cleaner disk ,hopefully that will fix the problem.
