Laptop Power Light Indicator Remains On After Machine Is Turned Off.

Is it normal when the power light indicator remains lit after the machine has been shut down and AC power removed from power socket?

Normal? that depends.  If your computer is truly shut down then most of the time the power light should turn off.  Some computers lights might still stay on but change a different color.  Its just a feature some have and others dont.  Laptops typically will not do that though. 

 

I would suggest making sure the laptop is actually powered down. By this I mean make sure you are not "putting your laptop in sleep mode"  Also make sure that you do not have any applications or programs that are "not responding"   And lastly, try letting your laptop power down before closing the lid.  Sometimes closing the lid will automatically put it in sleep mode
